Teaching Personnel are working with schools in the NP8 area who are seeking hardworking, adaptable, and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils on a 1:1 basis, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs, including Pica.
This is a rewarding role for individuals who are patient, resilient, and committed to supporting children with additional needs.
About the Role
Provide 1:1 support for pupils with ASD and complex needs
Support sensory, communication, and behavioural development
Follow individual learning and behaviour plans
Promote safe behaviours and supervise pupils closely where required
Support emotional regulation and engagement in learning
Assist with routines, transitions, and structured activities
Work closely with teachers and SEN staff
Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
Skills & Experience
Experience with SEN/ALN, particularly ASD
Understanding of Pica (or willingness to learn)
Knowledge of safeguarding and behaviour support
Calm, patient, and consistent approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexible and proactive attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
