Supply Desk is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive school in Flackwell Heath, seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional communication needs. Starting September 2026, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact through consistent, personalised intervention.

The Role

This is a highly rewarding position focused on unlocking communication, confidence, and independence. You’ll work closely with a pupil on a 1:1 basis, supporting their speech, language, and communication development within a nurturing school environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering individualised speech and language therapy sessions
Supporting communication, language processing, and social interaction skills
Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans
Monitoring progress and adapting strategies to meet evolving needs
Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure a joined-up approach
Supporting the pupil’s participation and confidence across the school day
Who We’re Looking For

You’re compassionate, patient, and passionate about helping children communicate and thrive.

You will ideally:

Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist (HCPC registered or working towards)
Have experience supporting children with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN)
(experience with ASD is highly desirable)
Be confident working 1:1 within a school setting
Use creative, child-centred strategies to engage and motivate
Be a strong communicator who works well as part of a multidisciplinary team
