With a strong reputation for delivering reliable, high-quality service, this family-run business takes pride in supporting its employees and maintaining long-standing relationships with its customers. Due to continued demand for their services, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Generator Engineer to join their growing service and installation team. This role will involve working on a wide range of diesel generators and associated equipment, carrying out installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair work at customer sites across the UK. Key Responsibilities Carry out installation, service, maintenance and repairs on diesel generators and associated equipment Diagnose faults and perform corrective repairs on generators and control systems Work on manual and automatic changeover systems Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance Support generator installations and commissioning projects Ensure compliance with electrical health & safety regulations and company standards Complete service documentation and reports using standard software tools Participate in the company’s call-out rota to support emergency breakdowns About You Minimum 5 years’ experience working with diesel generators or industrial engines Strong working knowledge of generator control panels and associated systems Experience working with manual and automatic changeover systems Basic understanding of PLC and microprocessor-based control systems Knowledge of fuel transfer and storage systems Strong analytical and fault-finding skills Good communication and organisational abilities Competent using software such as Microsoft Word and Excel Full clean UK driving licence This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a stable and supportive family-run engineering business, where you will play a key role in delivering reliable power solutions to customers across the UK while developing your technical skills and career within the generator industry.
