Job Title: Semi Senior Accountant Location: Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum DOE Permanent / Full-Time Overview Are you an ambitious Accountant looking to take the next step in your practice career? Our client, a well-established and growing independent accountancy practice based in Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes, is looking to appoint a Semi Senior Accountant to join their expanding team. The firm has built a strong reputation for providing high-quality accountancy, taxation and business advisory services to small and medium-sized businesses. With continued organic growth and a supportive leadership team, this role offers an excellent opportunity for someone currently working within a UK accountancy practice who is looking to broaden their technical experience, work more closely with clients, and progress their professional qualifications. You will gain exposure to a varied portfolio of clients, hands-on advisory work and a collaborative environment where your development is genuinely supported. Key Responsibilities Acting as a key point of contact for a varied portfolio of SME clients • Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships through excellent service • Preparing Statutory Accounts for a range of businesses • Preparing Corporation Tax Returns • Preparing Self-Assessment Tax Returns and P11Ds • Preparing Real Time Capital Gains Tax reports • Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts • Attending and participating in regular client meetings • Managing multiple assignments while ensuring deadlines are consistently metThe Ideal Candidate AAT qualified and currently studying towards ACCA or ACA • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice • Strong experience using Xero or other cloud-based accounting platforms • Highly organised with strong attention to detail • Able to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment • Confident communicating with clients and managing a varied workloadDesirable Experience using IRIS software • Exposure to advisory-led client workWhat’s on Offer Salary £30,000 – £40,000 depending on experience • Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days home) • Flexitime scheme to support work-life balance • Company pension • Free on-site parking • Private medical insurance • Health Assured Programme • Sick pay and enhanced maternity leave • Bonus scheme • Study support package (after successful completion of probation) • Supportive and collaborative working environment • Genuine long-term career progression within a growing practiceThis is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious practice Accountant looking to develop their technical skills, gain greater client exposure and progress their career within a modern and supportive firm
