Accounts Assistant Location: North Tyneside Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 Job Type: Permanent, Full Time About the Company Lemon Drizzle Recruitment is supporting a well-established Electrical Contractor based in North Tyneside. The company delivers electrical contracting services for both domestic and commercial projects across the UK. They are a small, close-knit team with a positive working culture, where trust, teamwork and a good sense of humour are part of everyday life. The Role We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the team. This is a fast-paced and varied position where priorities may change and no two days are the same. You will work alongside two other Accounts Assistants and report directly to the Management Accountant. Key Responsibilities * General administrative duties * Processing supplier invoices * Using Xero accounting software * Matching invoices with purchase orders * Supplier statement reconciliations * Preparing supplier payments * Handling supplier queries * Maintaining accurate financial records * Assisting with month-end processes * Providing general finance support * Making telephone appointments About You * Experience in accounting and general bookkeeping * Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment * Strong organisational and prioritisation skills * AAT qualified or currently studying towards AAT (desirable) * Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel * Professional and confident telephone manner * Experienced in working in accounts in construction (desirable) What’s on Offer * Salary between £30,000 – £35,000 * Flexible working hours (standard hours are 8:00am – 4:30pm, with flexibility for earlier or later start/finish times) * 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays How to Apply For more information, please contact Rachel Scott at Lemon Drizzle Recruitment or click the link below to apply
