Accounts Supervisor – Digital Practice – Buckinghamshire

About the Company:

Our client is an ICAEW member firm and growing accountancy practice which strives to offer their clients a personal, professional service supporting their clients by providing a complete outsourced finance function, along with year-end compliance work and business advisory.

They have been established for approximately 15 years and are based in a brand new (built in 2020) office in an idyllic Buckinghamshire village with free, unlimited parking. This in an office based role ongoing with occasional client visits.

About the Opportunity:

They are looking to expand their team with a new recruit and are looking for an ambitious candidate to join them.

About the Responsibilities:

Joining as Accounts Supervisor you will be reporting into the Director and will be responsible for:

* Preparing client’s books up to trial balance level including posting of monthly journals such as accruals/prepayments/depreciation etc.

* Reconciling balance sheet control accounts on a monthly basis

* Preparing VAT returns

* Preparing monthly management accounts

* Preparing year-end financial statements and associated corporation tax returns

* Preparing sole trader accounts and self-assessment tax returns

About the Applicant:

As the successful applicant, you will:

* Have three years’ experience in an accountancy practice environment

* Hold an accountancy qualification (MAAT or equivalent/above)

* Proficient in accountancy software – Xero or QuickBooks Online preferred

* Exceptionally well organised in order to be able to effectively manage their portfolio

* Excellent client communication skills

* Able to collaborate well with our team so that tasks are carried out as efficiently as possible

* Excellent computer skills in order to work within a paperless environment

* Be excited about the growth of the Practice and want to be part of that journey
