Job Title: Adult Social Worker – Commissioning Reviews Team Location: Hackney, London Contract: Full-Time – 36 hours per week, Initially 3 month contract, potential to be extended Rate: £32 per hour (Umbrella) £28 PAYE About the Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Adult Social Worker to join the Commissioning Reviews Team on behalf of Hackney Council. This role focuses on reviewing existing care and support arrangements to ensure they continue to meet individuals’ needs, deliver positive outcomes, and provide value for money. You will work with adults, carers, providers, and partner agencies to reassess needs, review care packages, and ensure services are effective, proportionate, and aligned with statutory responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Undertake strengths-based reviews of existing care and support packages Assess whether current services continue to meet individuals’ needs and outcomes Work collaboratively with commissioning teams, providers, and partner agencies Identify opportunities to maximise independence and promote community-based support Ensure care packages remain cost-effective and proportionate to assessed needs Apply legislation including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with statutory requirementsRequirements Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration Experience within Adult Social Care, including care package reviews or reassessments Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding procedures Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently Excellent assessment, communication, and analytical skillsWhat’s on Offer £32 per hour (Umbrella) 36 hours per week Opportunity to work within a well-established Commissioning Reviews Team Experience working with a dynamic London Borough local authorityHow to Apply If you are an experienced Adult Social Worker with a background in care reviews and commissioning-related work, we would love to hear from you.
