Aftercare Furniture Maintenance Technician £28,000 – £30,000 (depending on experience) FTE 36 hours per week (4.5 days) – potential flexibility for a 4-day week About the Company Our client is a well-established and highly respected premium product manufacturer with a strong reputation for quality, craftsmanship and exceptional customer service. The Role This is a varied and hands-on role within the Aftercare team, responsible for maintaining and restoring customer products to the highest standards. The position is split between workshop-based tasks and mobile work visiting client sites. This role would suit someone practical and detail-focused who enjoys a mixture of hands-on work and customer interaction. Key Responsibilities * Carry out maintenance and restoration work including cleaning, sanding, refinishing and minor repairs * Assess the condition of products and determine the most appropriate restoration method * Operate specialist equipment and hand tools * Travel to customer sites to carry out restoration and maintenance work * Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard * Maintain a clean and organised working environment * Provide a professional and friendly service when interacting with customers * Assist with maintaining tools, equipment and vehicles * Support workshop and operational tasks during quieter periods * Safely move equipment and heavier items when required Skills & Experience * Experience using hand tools or sanding equipment would be beneficial * High level of attention to detail * Practical mindset with strong problem-solving ability * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Good communication skills and a friendly, professional manner * Reliable with excellent timekeeping * Full UK driving licence required Previous restoration or finishing experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.
