Apply NowCarmichael UK are recruiting for an experienced Agent to join a major programme of works on HS2 in Buckinghamshire. This is an excellent opportunity to take a leading role in the delivery of significant structures packages on one of the UK's largest and most prestigious infrastructure projects.
Working for a Tier 1 contractor, you will be responsible for managing the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of structural works, ensuring programme, quality and commercial objectives are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the delivery of structures packages from planning through to completion
Lead site teams, engineers, supervisors and subcontractors
Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
Coordinate construction activities with design, commercial and planning teams
Review and implement construction methodologies, RAMS and ITPs
Monitor progress, productivity and quality performance across multiple work fronts
Manage client and stakeholder relationships
Drive programme improvement and resolve technical and operational challenges
Ensure compliance with project procedures, standards and contractual requirements
Requirements
Proven experience working as an Agent or Senior Sub Agent on major civil engineering projects
Strong structures background, ideally including reinforced concrete, bridges, retaining structures or large-scale structural works
Experience working for Tier 1 or major civil engineering contractors
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality requirements
Ability to manage programme, resources and subcontractors effectively
HNC, HND or Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
SMSTS and CSCS required
