Agricultural Engineer

Taylormade Employment are working alongside one of our longstanding clients on the outskirts of York we are seeking a practical, hands-on Agricultural Engineer to join their team, servicing and repairing a fleet of agricultural machinery. Formal qualifications are not essential — what matters most is solid, demonstrable experience in tractor servicing and repairs. Salary £30,000- £40,000 this is negotiable depending on experience. Monday to Friday working hours 7.30am until 4pm The Role * Based at an on-site workshop * Occasional travel to one of the other within 10 miles of each other to attend breakdowns and carry out repairs * Working as part of a small team * Following service sheets and maintenance schedules * Carrying out routine servicing, diagnostics, and spot repairs * Communicating effectively with managers regarding maintenance and repair work Experience & Skills * Strong knowledge of agricultural machinery, particularly tractors * Experience with older Massey Ferguson tractors would be an advantage * Familiarity with JCB Loadall telehandlers would be beneficial * MIG welding experience desirable but not essential * Basic computer skills helpful (training can be provided) * Agricultural background preferred This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and capable mechanic who enjoys a varied, hands-on role within a supportive team environment.
