Air Conditioning Engineer

Role: Air Conditioning Installation Supervisor Location: Midlands (National Travel Required) Contract Type: Permanent Sector: Mechanical & HVAC, Commercial Fit-Out Salary: £22.50 per hour Overview We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established mechanical contractor delivering commercial HVAC installations across office buildings and commercial premises nationwide. Due to continued growth and a strong order book, they are seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Installation Supervisor based in the Midlands. Projects are delivered nationally, with a significant volume of current work in Cambridge, Telford, London and Nottingham. Staying away will be required depending on project location. This is a hands-on supervisory role offering paid door-to-door travel and stable, long-term work across commercial fit-out environments. Key Responsibilities * Supervising air conditioning installations across commercial office and workplace projects * Managing installation engineers and subcontractors on site * Overseeing the installation of split systems, VRV/VRF systems, and associated pipework * Coordinating with project managers and other trades to ensure smooth delivery * Ensuring works are completed to programme, specification and health & safety standards * Conducting site inspections and quality checks * Resolving technical and on-site installation issues Requirements * Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Installation Supervisor * Strong background delivering commercial office and workplace projects * Experience with VRV/VRF, split and multi-split systems * SSSTS or SMSTS (preferred) * F-Gas certification (essential) * Full UK driving licence * Willingness to travel nationwide and stay away when required * Strong leadership and organisational skills Qualifications * NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent) * Valid CSCS Card * F-Gas Category 1 * SSSTS / SMSTS (desirable) * First Aid (desirable) What’s on Offer * £22.50 per hour * 42.5 hours per week * Paid door-to-door travel * Nationwide commercial projects * Long-term pipeline of secured work * Opportunity for progression within a growing contractor
