Aircraft Mechanic – A400M Line Maintenance
RAF Brize Norton

£40 per hour (Umbrella) | 5x5x4 shift pattern (06:00–18:00)

Arden White Aviation & Aerospace Recruitment are working with a leading aerospace organisation seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic to support A400M line maintenance operations at RAF Brize Norton.

This is a long-term contract opportunity on a high-profile military platform, offering stable shifts, competitive rates, and the chance to work within a specialist maintenance environment.

The Role

You will support scheduled, unscheduled, and out-of-phase line maintenance activities in accordance with technical documentation and company procedures. Occasional support within hangar/bay maintenance may also be required.

Key Responsibilities

Perform aircraft maintenance tasks as directed

Support cross-trade working to maintain safe and effective operations

Correct task booking and procedural compliance

Movement of tooling, equipment and aircraft components

Aircraft cleaning and housekeeping of work areas

Servicing aircraft systems (including toilets)

Spill containment and environmental compliance

Assist with aircraft manoeuvring

Waste management and recycling compliance

Reporting safety concerns promptly

Maintaining tools and equipment in safe working condition

Support off-site/AOG requirements when required

Maintain awareness of operational Read & Sign notices

Health & Safety You will operate in line with all aviation safety, security and environmental policies, ensuring full compliance with operational procedures and standards.

Requirements

Aircraft maintenance qualification (NVQ Level 3 / Apprenticeship) or equivalent

Minimum 3 years’ relevant aircraft experience

Completed competency assessment

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Strong safety awareness and communication skills

Ability to operate ground power equipment (GPU/powerset)

Eligible for UK Security Clearance

Full UK passport required
