The Opportunity

We are supporting ****** Dstl with a critical requirement for an Alarms System Implementation Specialist to lead the adaptation and implementation of site-wide alarms policy across high‑hazard laboratory facilities.

This role is pivotal in strengthening safety, legal and compliance standards by embedding a robust, sustainable alarms management framework aligned to EEMUA 191.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the implementation and adaptation of the site-wide alarms philosophy and policy to suit high‑hazard buildings and facilities

* Produce clear, detailed, and facility‑specific alarms management documentation to enable compliant operational use

* Work closely with Dstl management and stakeholders to design and deliver a comprehensive alarms implementation plan

* Support both immediate and long‑term organisational safety objectives

* Upskill existing personnel, ensuring they develop the competence required to support lab‑wide alarms management

* Drive a proactive, sustainable model that meets safety, legal and compliance obligations

Essential Skills & Experience

* Proven background in alarm systems

* Strong understanding and practical experience of EEMUA 191

* Demonstrable experience in policy or process implementation

* Excellent stakeholder management capability

* Strong leadership, communication, and influence skills

* Self‑motivated, proactive, and comfortable working across complex operational environments

Desirable Experience

* Knowledge or working awareness of:

* DSEAR

* Health, Safety & Environmental Protection (HS&EP) requirements
