Do you want to be a valued part of the critical infrastructure that serves communities across Europe and beyond? Are you looking for a position in which you can set direction and help shape our company? If so, then you could be the newest addition to our team as an Apprentice Equipment Controller.

Be part of the movement - and play your part.

About the role

Working Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00, you’ll support the team responsible for tracking, coordinating, and maintaining cargo equipment across our network. This apprenticeship offers hands on experience across multiple functions, giving you a solid foundation in shipping, logistics, and operational planning.

You will be responsible for:

Tracking and managing equipment location, status, and availability

Coordinating equipment movements between vessels, terminals, and workshops

Supporting repair, maintenance and workshop activities

Updating systems, spreadsheets, and reports with accurate movement data

Responding to equipment requests and managing bookings for multiple sites

Communicating with internal teams to resolve issues and keep operations moving

Providing instructions or information as needed to support daily operations

About you

You’ll be organised, detail focused, and confident communicating with teams across different sites and functions. A full UK driving licence is required, as you may need to visit terminals or check equipment in person. You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy structure, learning how different systems work, and supporting a fast moving operational environment. The ideal person is calm under pressure, proactive, and naturally curious about how things fit together. You’ll enjoy problem solving, adapting to changing demands, and working both at a desk and out in the yard when needed. Someone who asks questions, thinks ahead, and takes ownership of their learning will excel in this apprenticeship.

We think the strongest teams are built on diversity and inclusivity. Contrasting opinions, varied skills and strong characters bring out the best in us all. And we cannot wait for you to join.
