Art Teacher
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Salford, who are seeking to appoint a passionate and creative Art and Design Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and foster a love for creativity across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for KS5 depending on experience.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Art and Design lessons, encouraging students to explore a range of artistic techniques, media, and cultural influences. You will play a key role in supporting students to develop their creativity, confidence, and critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver creative and well-structured lessons in Art and Design
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of pupils, including SEND and EAL students
Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities and exhibitions
Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote student wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Art and Design within UK secondary schools
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the arts
Effective classroom management skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
The ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
