Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with ASD

Create a structured, predictable, and supportive classroom environment

Use a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour, and engagement

Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to deliver high-quality provision

Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches where needed

Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers

Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development

Ideal Candidate

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience working with children with ASD, ideally within a primary setting

Strong understanding of SEND and inclusive teaching practices

Calm, patient, and nurturing approach to behaviour management

Ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of complex needs

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Passion for supporting children with additional needs to reach their full potential
