ASD Teaching Assistant Location: Basingstoke Start Date: ASAP Daily Rate: £85 - £105 Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary The Opportunity Academics are recruiting for a motivated and caring ASD Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Basingstoke. This role offers a fantastic chance for an ASD Teaching Assistant to take on a meaningful position supporting a child on a 1:1 basis and contributing to their overall development. Role Responsibilities Provide dedicated 1:1 support as an ASD Teaching Assistant for a pupil with mild ASD Observe, track, and report on the pupil's academic and social progress Support the class teacher in maintaining a positive and structured learning environment Build strong relationships with pupils, promoting inclusivity and equal learning opportunities Encourage engagement, independence, and interaction with peersWhat We're Looking For An understanding of SEN and potential barriers to learning Experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude Interest in pursuing or developing a career as an ASD Teaching AssistantWhy Join?
