Low Carbon Recruitment are currently working with an established Renewable Energy company based in Haverhill who are looking for a Heat Pump Installation Engineer (ASHP – Retrofit) to join their team and deliver high quality Air Source Heat Pump installations across the South of England.

They have been Established since 2018, have quickly become one of the largest installers of Renewables and Insulation across East Anglia with over 30 years’ experience in the energy efficiency industry. They are a family run business and as a company their work is based in the government funded ECO sector, delivering green energy solutions and measures for large utility companies from cavity wall insulation to loft insulation, solar PV, air source heat pumps and storage heaters.

This role is ideal for a technically competent engineer with a strong interest in renewable heating systems. While prior heat pump installation experience is desirable, they will provide structured training and on-site technical support to ensure your success in this role. You will be responsible for managing installations from start to finish, while supporting junior engineers and apprentices.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver retrofit ASHP installations, from first fix through to commissioning and handover.

* Work as part of a team to carry out end-to-end heat pump installations, ensuring quality and efficiency.

* Diagnose and resolve technical or installation issues promptly to ensure minimal disruption.

* Ensure all works meet the required quality standards, manufacturer guidance, and safety regulations.

* Maintain accurate site records, including materials used, progress of installation, and any issues encountered.

* Represent the company professionally on customer sites, ensuring a high standard of service.

* Travel to various locations across the South of England, with occasional overnight stays.

Skills & Experience Required:

* NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing and Domestic Heating (essential).

* Water Regulations certification (essential).

* Unvented Hot Water – G3 certification (essential).

* Level 3 Heat Pump qualification (desirable but training available for the right candidate).

* Gas qualifications (desirable, but not essential).

* 3 years minimum heating installation experience (essential).

* Full UK driving license (essential).

* CSCS Card for site access (essential).

Salary Package

* Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience).

* Company van and fuel card for work-related travel.

* Paid overtime available.

* 21 days annual leave, plus bank holidays.

* Typical workload: 2-3 installations per week.

* Company uniform, PPE, and tools provided.

* Ongoing training and career progression, including funded qualifications.
