Assembler/Tester (Double Day Shift)

Location: Stroud

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £35,000 + Quarterly Bonus

Shift Pattern - Double Day Shift (Rotating)

Early Shift

Monday - Thursday: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm

Friday: 6:00 am - 11:30 am

Late Shift

Monday - Thursday: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Friday: 11:30 am - 5:00 pm

THOMAS Professional are currently recruiting for a skilled Assembler/Tester to join a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Stroud on a Double Day Shift pattern.

Role Responsibilities

As an Assembler/Tester, your responsibilities will include:

Mechanical assembly of precision-engineered valve products using assembly tools and equipment

Carrying out pressure testing using high-pressure test cells

Building and testing products in line with engineering procedures and specifications

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and assembly instructions

Completing quality inspections and ensuring products meet company standards

Recording production and testing documentation accurately

Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, quality and health & safety

Working closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to achieve production targets

Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining an organised, efficient work area
The Person

The successful Assembler/Tester will ideally have:

Previous mechanical assembly and testing experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment

Experience working with hydraulic or pneumatic systems

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Experience carrying out pressure testing or functional testing (desirable)

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

A proactive and reliable approach with a strong focus on health and safety
