About Roseacre Pub Company

Roseacre Pub Company is a growing pub group with a genuine passion for hospitality done properly. Their venues are food-led, community-rooted, and built around the belief that great experiences start with great people.

They’re big enough to offer structured career pathways, but small enough that your contribution is noticed and your ideas actually land. The culture reflects that — this is a business where people come first.

The Role

As Assistant Manager, you’ll work closely with the General Manager to keep the venue running at its best. You’ll lead the team on the floor, uphold guest experience standards, and take ownership of the operation when the GM isn’t on site. It’s a hands-on role with real responsibility — and a genuine stepping stone to running your own venue.

You’ll:

Support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the venue

Lead shifts confidently, keeping the team focused and the service standards high

Deliver warm, memorable guest experiences on every visit

Handle guest queries and complaints with confidence and professionalism

Assist with stock management, ordering, and wastage control

Support team training, onboarding, and development

Ensure the venue meets licensing, food safety, and health and safety requirements

Step up as Duty Manager when required

What You’ll Bring

Essential:

Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within hospitality, ideally within a food-led environment

A track record of leading a team and delivering strong guest experiences

Solid understanding of food safety and licensing compliance

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as part of a rota

Useful, not essential:

Personal Licence holder

Wellbeing: Away days, fundraising initiatives, and a team culture built around people. This is a business that genuinely invests in the people running it.
