Apply NowThis is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their commercial career within an established MEP contractor, gaining exposure to major commercial developments across Central London, with specialist project packages valued at approximately £5m–£10m.
Working alongside experienced commercial and operational management teams, you will support the commercial management of BMS/ELVS packages from pre-construction and procurement through to project delivery and final accounts.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to progress towards a Quantity Surveyor position within a growing specialist division.
Key Responsibilities
*
Assist with the commercial management of BMS/ELVS packages throughout the project lifecycle.
*
Support subcontractor procurement, tender analysis and package negotiations.
*
Assist with the preparation and monitoring of Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
*
Help maintain accurate cost forecasts, budgets and financial reports.
*
Assist with the identification, pricing and management of variations and change control.
*
Review subcontractor applications for payment and prepare payment assessments.
*
Assist with subcontractor account management and commercial negotiations.
*
Support contract administration and ensure commercial procedures are followed.
*
Monitor project costs, expenditure and financial commitments.
*
Help identify commercial risks and opportunities.
*
Work closely with project managers, engineers, site teams and senior commercial staff.
*
Assist with the preparation, negotiation and agreement of final accounts.
*
Attend occasional site visits to gain exposure to project delivery and commercial operations.
SALARY - £30,000 - 45K
*
Annual Leave: 25 days plus Bank Holidays, with the option to purchase up to 5 additional days per year.
*
Private Medical Insurance.
*
Pension Scheme: 5% employee contribution / 3% employer contribution.

Life Assurance: 4x annual salary
