Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Planned Maintenance (External Works) Location: Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) Salary: Competitive + Car Allowance + Fuel Card Contract Type: Permanent We are working with a well-established planned maintenance contractor delivering works for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Due to ongoing project requirements, they are looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support a long-term programme of refurbishment and energy-efficiency works across scattered residential properties. Scope of Works * External Wall Insulation (EWI) * Internal Wall Insulation (IWI) * Window replacements Key Responsibilities * Assisting with the commercial management of planned maintenance projects * Supporting the preparation of cost reports, forecasts, and valuations * Assisting with subcontractor procurement and account management * Helping manage variations and change control * Supporting the preparation of final accounts * Working closely with site teams and senior commercial staff * Maintaining accurate commercial records and documentation About You * Previous experience in a commercial or Assistant Quantity Surveyor role (planned maintenance, refurbishment, or social housing preferred) * Knowledge or interest in EWI, IWI, façade, or window replacement works * Understanding of JCT contracts (or willingness to develop this knowledge) * Strong numerical, organisational, and communication skills * Ability to manage workloads across multiple sites * Full UK driving licence What’s on Offer * Competitive salary (depending on experience) * Car allowance * Fuel card * Long-term, stable work with a respected contractor * Support, training, and career progression to Quantity Surveyor level
