An Associate CDM Advisor is required to join a multidisciplinary practice delivering integrated design and build services. In this role, as Associate CDM Advisor, you will play a key part in planning, managing, monitoring and coordinating health and safety during the pre-construction phase of projects and ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations. You will work closely with clients and design teams to identify, eliminate or control foreseeable risks and ensure designers fulfil their duties under the regulations. As an Associate CDM Advisor, you will take ownership of your projects, acting as the key interface between clients, design teams, principal contractors and other project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities of an Associate CDM Advisor: * Plan, manage, monitor and coordinate health and safety during the pre-construction phase in accordance with CDM Regulations. * Undertake detailed reviews of project information and construction drawings, identifying design, construction and maintenance risks through Design Risk Reviews. * Provide CDM advice and support to client teams, ensuring they understand and fulfil their statutory duties. * Develop and implement bespoke health and safety policies, procedures and documentation where required. * Attend and coordinate design and project meetings throughout the project lifecycle. * Carry out site visits as required to support project delivery and compliance. * Prepare, coordinate and distribute relevant health and safety information to project team members. * Review Construction Phase Plans and Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). * Oversee the preparation and production of Pre-Construction Information (PCI). * Support, mentor and manage junior members of the CDM team. * Prepare and issue fee proposals and support project resourcing. * Identify regional business development opportunities and contribute to the growth of the client base. Experience * Proven experience working as a CDM Principal Designer, CDM Advisor, or Client Advisor within a construction, consultancy or design environment. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. Qualifications * Ideally CMaPS qualified or working towards accreditation. * Degree or equivalent qualification in a Built Environment discipline. * Membership of a relevant professional body such as MCABE, MCIOB, RIBA, MRICS, MAPM, MIStructE, MICE or CEng would be advantageous. * NEBOSH, Fire Safety or other relevant vocational health and safety qualifications are beneficial. This role of Associate CDM Advisor offers hybrid working and a salary of £60,000–£70,000 along with pension, healthcare and a comprehensive benefits package
