Job Title: Attendance Officer
Location: West London
Pay Range: £32,215 – £34,211 FTE (Pro rata £28,172 – £29,918) - £17 per hour PAYE
Contract Type: Full Time – Term Time + INSET Days – Temp to perm
Working Pattern: Full Time, On-site
ANZUK Education is working with a well-regarded Secondary School in West London seeking an Attendance Officer to join their team ASAP. This full-time position offers the opportunity to play a key role in supporting student engagement and improving attendance across the school.
This Attendance Officer role would suit someone with experience working in a school or educational setting, particularly in attendance, pastoral or safeguarding roles. You will join a supportive and driven team and play a vital role in ensuring students are fully engaged in their education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and track student attendance and punctuality across the school
• Work closely with students, families and staff to improve attendance
• Identify trends and implement targeted interventions
• Conduct home visits where necessary to support families
• Liaise with safeguarding, SEND and pastoral teams
• Work with external agencies and the local authority where required
• Produce attendance reports and analyse data to inform strategy
• Support the development and implementation of attendance policies
The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Have experience working in a school or education setting (essential)
• Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Be confident working with families and external professionals
• Have experience analysing data and implementing interventions
• Be highly organised and able to prioritise workload effectively
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding and student welfare
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
