Audit Senior – About The Role

Working with a varied portfolio of clients, you will take responsibility for audits from planning through to completion. The role offers broad exposure across the full audit process, with the opportunity to take the lead on increasingly complex assignments.

As you develop, you will take on greater responsibility for leading audits, managing client relationships and supporting junior team members, providing a clear route towards a future managerial position. Key responsibilities:

Take responsibility for planning and completing audit assignments

Lead audits from planning through to completion

Undertake fieldwork on more complex, higher-risk and judgemental areas

Review work completed by junior team members

Review audit working papers and ensure files are completed to a high standard

Identify and resolve issues arising during the audit process

Build and maintain strong client relationships

Work closely with Managers and Directors on more complex assignments

Take increasing ownership of the overall audit process as you develop

Work towards progressing into an Audit Manager position

The successful Audit Senior will have:

Newly qualified ACA or ACCA status

Previous experience working within an audit environment

Strong understanding of the audit process from planning through to completion

Experience reviewing the work of junior team members

Confidence working on more complex areas of an audit

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Excellent communication and client relationship skills

Ability to take ownership of assignments and meet deadlines

Ambition to progress into a managerial position
