Bandsaw Operator

Job Title: Bandsaw Operator Location: Lye Salary: 12.21-14 per hour The Role As a Bandsaw Operator, you will be responsible for cutting steel to precise specifications while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities * Operate bandsaw machinery to cut steel materials accurately * Read and interpret job sheets, measurements, and technical specifications * Use a variety of hand tools safely and effectively * Operate an overhead crane to move steel materials (training refresh available if required) * Carry out routine equipment checks and basic maintenance * Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations * Maintain a clean and organised work area Requirements * Proven experience working in the steel industry * Previous experience operating a bandsaw * Competent in the use of hand tools * Experience operating an overhead crane * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Good understanding of workplace health & safety * Ability to work independently and as part of a team Desirable * Valid overhead crane licence/certification * Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential) Benefits * Stable, full-time position * Competitive pay based on experience * Overtime opportunities * Supportive team environment * Ongoing training and development
