BMS & Controls Engineer
π On-site | Prestigious Technology Client in Central London
π· Salary: Β£70,000 + Β£5,100 Car Allowance + 10% Bonus + Excellent Benefits
We're supporting a prestigious global technology client in recruiting a BMS & Controls Engineer to join their high-performing engineering team. This is a critical role in a technically advanced, smart-building environment where innovation, resilience, and performance are key.
π§ What you'll be doing:
βοΈ Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on-site BMS
βοΈ Monitor system performance, running conditions, and alarms
βοΈ Act as the technical point of contact for clients and on-site technical teams
βοΈ Ensure environmental controls meet required specifications and tolerances
βοΈ Carry out system checks, diagnostics, and performance optimisation
βοΈ Apply and manage change control procedures across documentation, software, and hardware
βοΈ Review and improve alarm management protocols
βοΈ Support site and client management during emergency procedures
βοΈ Conduct inspections, testing, maintenance, modifications, and fault finding on mechanical and electrical plant
βοΈ Investigate and rectify faults in building services systems
βοΈ Support start-up, operation, and shutdown of plant and systems when authorised
βοΈ Perform technical and quality audits to ensure statutory compliance
βοΈ Identify and implement system enhancements to improve resilience and performance
βοΈ Attend operational and technical meetings as required
βοΈ Analyse and report on data from Fault Detection & Diagnostics (FDD) systems
βοΈ Maintain smart building systems and IoT integrations (including MQTT and API integrations)
π· What we're looking for:
* Proven experience in a similar BMS/Controls Engineering role
* Strong working knowledge of Building Management Systems, including Tridium and EasyIO platforms
* Experience with BMS communication protocols such as BACnet and Modbus
* Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical building services
* Fundamental knowledge of IT networking
* Strong diagnostic and analytical skills
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* A collaborative, team-oriented approach
