A well-established, independent sustainability consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced BREEAM Assessor to support a growing workload across a diverse national project portfolio.
Operating as a close-knit team of circa 15, the business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality sustainability advice on large-scale schemes typically associated with major multidisciplinary consultancies. Their work spans across key UK cities including Manchester, London and Edinburgh, covering a wide mix of sectors.
The Role
You will take ownership of BREEAM assessments from inception through to completion, managing client relationships and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. Due to an increase in workload and a recent departure, there is an immediate pipeline of assessments requiring attention.
Alongside BREEAM, you will have exposure to wider sustainability services including whole life carbon assessments, working closely with a team of Building Physics Engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver BREEAM assessments independently across multiple projects
Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing clear guidance throughout the process
Manage project timelines and ensure compliance with relevant standards
Collaborate with internal teams on broader sustainability strategiesAbout You
Proven experience delivering BREEAM assessments autonomously
Strong client-facing skills and ability to manage relationships
Organised and comfortable handling multiple projects concurrently
Ideally holds a relevant BREEAM Assessor qualificationWorking Environment
This is a flexible, supportive environment within a small consultancy where individuals are trusted and given autonomy. While there is an expectation to be office-based initially to integrate with the team, hybrid and remote working options become available as you demonstrate independence.
