A construction consultancy is seeking a Building Surveyor to join their Public Sector team delivering projects across healthcare, emergency services, education and local government environments. This Building Surveyor role offers the opportunity to work on a range of project and professional building surveying instructions. The Building Surveyor will support clients throughout the project lifecycle while delivering core building surveying services across public sector assets. This Building Surveyor position involves working with senior surveyors and project teams to manage instructions and provide technical building surveying advice. The Building Surveyor will operate within a collaborative consultancy environment with a mix of office, site and hybrid working.

The Company?
The successful Building Surveyor will join an established construction consultancy delivering project and professional services across the public sector. The organisation provides building surveying, project management and consultancy services across healthcare, education and government property portfolios. The Building Surveyor will work within a multi disciplinary team delivering surveying and project work across a varied client base.

The Role
As the Building Surveyor you will support the delivery of project and professional building surveying services across a range of public sector projects.

The role will include:
* Acting as Contract Administrator and Employer's Agent where required
* Preparation of project designs and technical specifications
* Managing projects of varying size and complexity
* Undertaking surveys and site inspections
* Preparation of tender documentation, tender evaluations and recommendations
* Providing contractual advice pre and post contract
* Preparation of Building Regulation and planning applications
* Supporting senior surveyors with Party Wall matters, acquisition surveys, condition surveys and dilapidations
* Analysing building defects and maintaining technical knowledge of building construction and maintenance

The Building Surveyor?
You will be a motivated individual with experience delivering building surveying services within a consultancy or construction environment. Applications from candidates without relevant building surveying experience will not be considered.

The Building Surveyor must have:
* Degree in Building Surveying or a related property discipline
* MRICS qualified or currently working towards
* Strong technical knowledge across core building surveying services
* Ability to manage projects with limited supervision
* Experience working with clients and project teams
* Interest in supporting business development and networking activities
* Ability to contribute within a multi disciplinary team environment
