Business Development Engineer
As the Business Development Engineer, you are responsible for increasing the Company’s sales turnover and margin in line with stated objectives. Additionally, the successful candidate will find and contact potential users of the Group products, engage with existing and potential users to establish requirements, formulate appropriate technical and commercial solutions, prepare and communicate sales proposals, develop relationships with existing customers with a view to increasing business, and prepare new product briefings for the Designers, in line with NPI practices, and manage product development programmes to ensure timely completion.
What we would like from the Business Development Engineer:
Graduate-level engineering qualification in a relevant discipline
Minimum 10 years’ experience in technical sales in a similar field
Able to identify business opportunities and tenaciously pursue them
Highly self-motivated and with senior management potential
A convincing communicator at all levels and a natural networker
Strong contributor in a team environment
What we offer the Business Development Engineer:
Salary up to £55,000 doe
Annual Sales Commissioning (£3,000pa, guaranteed in yr1 subject to performance)
Annual Profit Bonus (£3,000pa subject to performance)
28 days annual leave statutory days
Office hours – 08.30 to 17.00 Monday to Friday
Hybrid working (4 in the office or visiting clients and 1 from home)
Car allowance £6,500pa
Pension up to 6% of basic salary (matched)
Death in Service insurance (non-contributory)
Medical/Dental insurance (non-contributory
