Business Development Executive / Consultant | Would suit a Recruitment Consultant looking for a change Birmingham | 4 days office, 1 day WFH £29,000 – £31,000 basic + commission (OTE c.£40,000) If you’re in recruitment and tired of running a full 360 desk, this is worth a look. You will be joining a growing training and apprenticeships provider in a role focused purely on winning employer relationships and creating opportunities, without the expectation of sourcing candidates from scratch. What makes this different You will still be doing the parts of recruitment that matter: * Opening conversations with new clients * Understanding hiring needs * Creating opportunities * Managing processes through to placement But you won’t be: * Chasing candidates all day * Fighting over ownership of clients * Working a split desk where control is limited This is closer to a 180 business development role, with internal support on the candidate side. What you will be doing You will be responsible for building relationships with employers and introducing apprenticeship solutions where they make sense. You will: * Develop new business through calls, meetings and outreach * Identify companies open to hiring or developing staff * Secure opportunities and manage them through to placement * Introduce suitable candidates and coordinate interviews * Stay close to both sides to ensure successful outcomes You will still be working commercially, but with a more focused remit. The commercial reality There is no inherited desk. This is a relatively new brand to the business, so there is plenty of potential to making the role your own. You will build your own pipeline, your own conversations and your own results.
