We are currently supporting a growing international business within the commercial workplace products/services sector as they look to hire a Business Development Manager to help drive UK growth.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded and relationship-led sales professional who enjoys autonomy, strategic account development and building long-term partnerships.
The role is focused far more around developing national account relationships at head office level, rather than branch-level merchant sales.
The Role
You will be responsible for developing and growing relationships with national merchants, procurement teams, commercial stakeholders and multi-site customers across the UK.
Key responsibilities will include:
Winning and developing national accounts
Building relationships with procurement and buying teams at head office level
Driving new business activity and pipeline generation
Managing and growing existing strategic accounts
Developing direct sales channels and commercial partnerships
Identifying opportunities for long-term account growth
Supporting national roll outs, promotions and account activity
Working closely with internal stakeholders to drive commercial performance
Candidate Profile
The business is looking for a commercially driven sales professional with strong experience in relationship-led B2B sales and account development.
They are keen to hire someone who is:
Proven within field sales, national accounts or commercial business development
Strong at building relationships with procurement, buying and commercial stakeholders
Confident generating new business and developing strategic accounts
Commercially aware with a proactive and adaptable approach
Comfortable working autonomously within a field-based role
Experienced managing multiple opportunities and stakeholders at pace
Motivated by long-term growth, progression and building market presenceBackgrounds within commercial interiors, fit-out, workplace solutions, FM, building products, merchant environments or related sectors could align particularly well.
