Are you an experienced Business Manager looking to move in to a new role? If so, I have the perfect opportunity for you. My client is an excellent housing provider based in Birmingham looking to hire a Business Manager on a permanent basis to continue providing much needed support services to vulnerable people in the community. As the Business Manager, you will be carrying out a range of duties, some of which are listed below: Job Overview: Ensure the correct implementations of procedures are carried out and work alongside the Directors and shareholders by carrying out the required Business Managers role and office duties. Maintain a positive and friendly company image by acting as the first line of contact for support workers, department managers, visitors, customers, and vendors in person, online, and via telephone. Be responsible for the day to day control and management of operations of each department within the organisation ensuring support workers, properties, tenants, and those in need are provided with the most appropriate housing and support services. The primary focus for the Business Manager is mentoring, supervising, coaching and assessing the practices of each department to ensure a high quality of service is been delivered. The Business Manager will be responsible for ensuring and checking all tasks are followed through on a daily basis and training/advising team member when required in addition to carrying out all responsibilities and duties are carried out as stated below. * Ensure service delivery is in accordance with our contractual obligations and all service activities meet legislative/regulatory requirements. * Liaise and maintain a good professional relationship with all tenants, staff, referral agencies, RSL’s, Local Authorities, neighbours, or any external bodies/personal engaging with. * Attend professionals' meetings. * Manage staff teams, monitor performance, and ensure staff remain motivated. * Manage the recruitment and training of all new staff. * Work with directors to modify, improve, refine standard operating procedures * Be the point of call for guidance, advice, and assistance to staff. * Manage and organise the resources efficiently and effectively * Run daily reports on in-house system to manage tasks and ensure tasks are being completed in a timely manner * Liaise with each department throughout the day to ensure all procedures and processes are being followed. * Oversee Maintenance tasks to ensure they are been completing in a timely manner * Awareness of all forthcoming inspections and ensuring all processes have been followed to achieve a pass. * Any failed inspections to be investigated and actioned accordingly. * Solve any issues any departments are faced with. * Conduct regular department meetings to understand and review any process issues they face. * Oversee shared drives of all departments daily to ensure information that has been collated is accurate * Oversee Compliance certification to ensure nothing has passed its expiry. * Ensure Submission documents for new move ins have been completed, anything outstanding should be given high priority. * Manage and conduct HR duties. * Oversee Audit request and ensure deadlines have been met. * Review, administrate and action performance issues * Solve any issues any departments are faced with. * Ensure all staff are signing out and then signing back in for lunch * Ensure all complaints have been dealt with efficiently by relevant teams. * Conducting one to ones with senior leadership team. This is a busy, fast paced role that will require the Business Manager to oversee several teams and aspects of the business. this a great opportunity to join a growing establishment and also progress your own career as there will be an opportunity to move further up in the business. This is an office based role and working days are from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
