Hours: Monday – Friday, Day Shift

The Opportunity
We’re supporting a well-established and highly respected engineering manufacturer in their search for a Cable Assembly Technician to join their growing production team near Worthing.
This is a great opportunity to join a business known for producing high-quality electrical and fibre optic assemblies used in advanced engineering environments. If you’ve got experience in wiring, cable assembly, or electro-mechanical build, this is a solid move into a stable, long-term role.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Building electrical, fibre optic, and hybrid cable assemblies to specification
* Reading and working from schematics and assembly drawings
* Carrying out point-to-point wiring, crimping, soldering, and testing
* Using hand tools including torque and crimping equipment
* Performing electrical and functional testing
* Suggesting improvements to assembly methods and processes
* Taking ownership of your work to ensure high-quality output
* Working in line with quality, safety, and environmental standards
What They’re Looking For
* Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
* Background in cable assembly, wiring, or harness build
* Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams
* Experience with soldering, crimping, and assembly tools
* Familiarity with ESD practices
* Strong attention to detail and quality standards
* Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
* Knowledge of IPC620 / IPC610 standards (desirable, not essential)
