Key Responsibilities
* Produce 3D CAD models and generate engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
* Review ‘in-house’ project drawings using AutoCAD.
* Progress new designs from concept through to manufacture.
* Revise existing designs and drawings in response to design reviews, engineering change requests, and manufacturing feedback.
* Maintain drawing control and revision history.
* Ensure all designs comply with internal standards and quality procedures.
* Consult internally with sales, engineering, and production to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
* Liaise with suppliers on technical queries and component specifications.
* Assist with prototype builds, inspections, and design validation.
* Support production and installation teams with technical guidance.
* Apply Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles.
* Participate in design reviews and contribute to problem solving and continuous improvement.
* Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
* Manage own workload to meet project timescales and seek support / report progress to Technical Manager as required.
Other Information
* Ensure that you remain compliant with health and safety regulations and accepted safe practice at all times.
* SolidWorks experience is necessary
* Carry out other duties as and when required.
* Comply with all company policies and procedures.
* Ensure that you implement our equality and diversity policy in all areas of your work.
* Work with all employees within the company in the fulfilment of our aims.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Pay:
£30,000 - £37,000 per annum
