UKAS Calibration Engineer

Location: Paulton, Bristol
Salary: £35,000–£45,000 per annum

We are looking to recruit an experienced UKAS Calibration Engineer to join a well-established and growing calibration business based in Paulton.

The position can be tailored around your experience, with opportunities available for engineers who prefer laboratory-based work, onsite calibration, or a combination of both.

The successful candidate will ideally have an electrical calibration bias, although engineers from other calibration disciplines will also be considered.

The Role

As a UKAS Calibration Engineer, you will be responsible for calibrating a range of test and measurement equipment in accordance with UKAS, ISO 17025 and internal quality procedures.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Calibrating electrical and electronic test equipment

* Completing calibration work both within the laboratory and at customer sites

* Producing accurate calibration certificates and technical documentation

* Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with UKAS and ISO 17025 standards

* Identifying equipment that is outside of specification

* Carrying out basic fault finding, adjustments and repairs where appropriate

* Maintaining accurate records within the calibration management system

* Supporting internal audits and continuous improvement activities

* Liaising professionally with customers and providing technical support

* Ensuring all calibration equipment and reference standards are correctly maintained

The Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have:

* Previous experience working within a UKAS-accredited calibration laboratory

* Experience calibrating electrical or electronic test equipment

* A strong understanding of UKAS and ISO 17025 requirements

* Experience producing calibration certificates and maintaining technical records

* Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills

* Strong attention to detail

* The ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Good communication and customer service skills

* A full UK driving licence

Experience across additional calibration disciplines, including temperature, pressure, dimensional, torque, force or mass, would also be advantageous.
