Job Title: Care Worker (Elderly, Dementia) – NVQ3 Location: Waltham Forest, London Pay Rate: £16 per hour (PAYE) Contract Type: Full-time (Contract) Shift Pattern: Early and Late Shifts About the Role: We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join a residential care home in Waltham Forest. The successful candidate will have experience working with elderly individuals, including those with dementia, and will be responsible for providing high-quality care to enhance the wellbeing and quality of life for residents. Key Responsibilities: * Provide personal care to elderly residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility. * Support residents with dementia, ensuring their safety, comfort, and emotional well-being. * Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans. * Promote a positive and supportive environment for all residents. * Record and report changes in the condition of residents, ensuring all care records are kept up to date. * Work as part of a team, liaising with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care. * Participate in training and development to continually improve care standards. Key Requirements: * NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent. * Previous experience working with elderly individuals, particularly those with dementia, in a residential care setting. * Strong knowledge of dementia care and safeguarding principles. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work well as part of a team and independently. * A caring and empathetic nature. * Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
