CCTV/Duty Controller - Blackwall, Greater London

Salary: £35k

40-hour work week
Pension, 24 days annual leave, private health care, parking at the depot
6 to 8 weeks on-the-job training
Hours: Shift pattern: 5 days in, 3 days off, with morning shift from 5am to 1pm, afternoon shift from 1pm to 9pm and night shift from 9pm to 5am
Must be flexible to work the shift pattern above on rotation

Are you ready to make a significant impact on the safety and efficiency of one of London's key transportation networks? We are seeking a dedicated and proactive CCTV/Duty Controller to join our dynamic team based in Blackwall, Greater London.

We are a leading organisation responsible for the maintenance and management of a vital 25-km stretch of highway in London. Our commitment to excellence ensures that we deliver the highest standards of safety and operational effectiveness.

Your Role: As a CCTV/Duty Controller, you will play a crucial role in monitoring the network, ensuring rapid response to incidents, and maintaining seamless operations on our highways and tunnels. This safety-critical position involves:

Ensure the ongoing operations are safe, effective, and efficient
Oversee the Tunnel CCTV system, keeping an eye out for any hazards or debris
Manage tunnel closure procedures and prepare detailed reports
Record all incidents, accidents, and near misses in the IOI system
Liaise with Emergency Services and relevant authorities as necessary
Maintain communication with the Operations and Maintenance team concerning any major incidents
Provide on-site office and reception duties, including handling deliveries and managing petty cash
Update vehicle allocation logs and maintain key holding for vehicles and buildings
Support the Head of Operations and Maintenance with administrative tasks as needed.

Previous experience in a similar position
Excellent communication abilities to liaise with various stakeholders.
Experience in monitoring systems or incident response is preferred.
