Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
* Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning food items.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
* Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
* Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.
* Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
Skills
* Proven experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or commercial kitchen setting.
* Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food preparation.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a kitchen environment.
