Chemistry Tutor - Wokingham
This role focuses on supporting secondary-aged students who are currently outside of mainstream education. Many learners have additional needs, including SEND, Autism, ADHD, SEMH, behavioural challenges, or medical conditions.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by working closely with individual students. Tutors will deliver personalised Chemistry sessions designed to build confidence, strengthen subject knowledge, and support each learner's pathway back into education. Tuition typically takes place in the pupil's home or an appropriate community setting, with tutors responsible for planning and adapting lessons to suit individual needs.
Role Overview
Deliver tailored 1:1 Chemistry tuition to secondary-aged pupils outside mainstream education
Flexible, part-time opportunities based on your availability
Sessions are held during school hours, so daytime availability is essential
Opportunities available across Wokingham and surrounding Berkshire areas
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable
Experience supporting secondary pupils with additional needs (e.g. Autism, SEMH, ADHD)
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, supportive relationships
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Right to work in the UK
Ability to travel to Wokingham and nearby areas for in-person sessions
