Children's Residential Support Worker
📍 Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
💼 Permanent and full time
💷 £27,976 - £31,952 (with a bonus scheme on top)

⏱️ 160 hours per month; 8.30am-9.30pm or 10am-10.30am (with sleep)
📅 Implementation of a 3-week rolling rota, working 1-3 shifts per week

ZG Recruitment is recruiting for a Children's Residential Support Worker to work for an amazing childrens care company supporting children aged 8 to 17. This company is owned by 3 very experienced, knowledgeable and lovely people who genuinely want the best for their children and staff members. Most of the Owners and Managers are parents themselves, giving a great understanding of home from home feel. They offer residential care services and provide comprehensive services, including; 24/7 residential care, educational support, mental health support and therapeutic interventions. Their leadership team establishes a clear vision and strategic direction for the organisation. Their vision encompasses their full commitment to providing exceptional care, continuous improvement and achieving positive outcomes for all children. Currently, they have opened a home in Wellingborough, opening a home in Northampton and plan to open more within the county when the time is right.

The UK is experiencing an increasing demand for high-quality residential care services for children who are unable to live with their families due to various reasons including neglect, abuse or family breakdown. To address this growing need, this organisation aims to establish children's homes that will provide a safe and nurturing environment, promoting the overall well-being and development of the children in their care.

Requirements of our Children's Residential Support Worker;

Great engagement with every child you care for.
Complete passion and dedication to the work you carry out, knowing you are making the biggest difference to the childrens lives.
A ‘get up and go’ attitude - wanting to take the children out, supporting fun activities with them and generally be creative with your days.
It would be ideal to have some care experience, but this is not essential.
The ability and commitment to complete a QCF Level 4 in Children and Young People qualification.
Full driving licence.

Job outline;

Responsible for the supervision of young people at a children’s home providing advice, care and stability for the children and young people ensuring they are treated equally and provided with equal opportunities on a daily basis. Liaising with external agencies, other departments within company, Social Workers and other professionals.
