Opportunity
Working closely with Civil Engineers and project teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and high-quality technical drawings and supporting the delivery of civil engineering projects from concept through to construction.
Responsibilities
Produce detailed civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D where applicable.
Prepare site layouts, drainage schemes, highways drawings, utility plans, and earthworks designs.
Assist engineers with planning, design, and construction stage documentation.
Coordinate drawing information with internal teams and external consultants.
Ensure all drawings comply with current regulations, industry standards, and client requirements.
Maintain drawing registers and manage revisions throughout project lifecycles.
Support project delivery by meeting key deadlines and quality standards.
Requirements
Essential
Previous experience in a Civil CAD Technician role within a consultancy or engineering environment.
Proficient in AutoCAD.
Sound understanding of civil engineering design principles.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
Excellent communication skills.
Desirable
Experience using Civil 3D.
Knowledge of drainage design software such as MicroDrainage or Flow.
Familiarity with highways, drainage, and infrastructure design projects.
Understanding of SuDS, Section 38 and Section 278 agreements.
HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
