We are working with a well-established water contractor who is seeking a Civil Design Engineer with approximately 5 years' experience to support the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on essential utility upgrades and new infrastructure schemes within a growing design team.
Key Responsibilities
Produce civil engineering designs for water and wastewater projects
Prepare drawings, reports, and technical documentation
Support design development from concept through to detailed design
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (MEICA, electrical, project delivery)
Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and regulations (e.g. UK water industry standards)
Support site investigations and respond to technical queries during construction
Requirements
Around 5 years' experience in civil design, ideally within water/wastewater or utilities
Strong experience in infrastructure or civil engineering design delivery
Proficient with design tools such as AutoCAD (Civil 3D advantageous)
Understanding of UK water sector standards and processes
Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
Strong communication and teamwork skills
