You’ll be working amongst a team of Civil Engineers who a biased towards flood risk and drainage working on projects Civil Design Engineers both nationally and Internationally.

The role
Prepare designs, drawings, and calculations for flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, and highway works.
Deliver designs in line with Section 104/106 build over agreements (sewer adoption & connection approvals).
Support delivery of Section 38/278 highway works agreements.
Develop detailed designs for surface water management, SuDS, foul and storm drainage networks.
Contribute to flood risk assessments, hydraulic modelling, and drainage impact assessments.
Liaise with clients, local authorities, and utility providers to secure approvals.
Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and design documentation.
Ensure compliance with design standards (SuDS Manual, DMRB, Sewers for Adoption, local authority requirements).
Provide input and support during planning, detailed design and tender.
What you need to succeed
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
Working toward C.Eng./Chartered status.
Proficiency in Civil 3D/AutoCAD; experience with MicroDrainage (InfoDrainage) and highway design is desirable.
Knowledge of UK drainage/highway standards and regulatory frameworks (Section 104/106, 38/278).
Strong problem-solving, report writing, and client communication skills.
Ability to manage workload across multiple projects with attention to detail
