Pay Rates
* £15.00 per hour (PAYE)
* £16.81 per hour with holiday pay rolled up into your hourly rate
The Role
We are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for temporary and ongoing contracts across Heywood and Middleton.
We work with a variety of well-established clients, offering a range of Class 2 driving assignments. Work may include palletised deliveries and collections, delivering sheet materials, and multi-drop deliveries of packaging products.
Drivers can expect regular day shifts with an average start time of 7:00am.
Duties Include:
* Palletised deliveries and collections.
* Delivering sheet materials and other industrial products.
* Safely strapping and securing loads before and during transport.
* Handball when handling 8ft x 4ft plastic sheet materials where required.
* Multi-drop deliveries of packaging materials, with up to 11 deliveries per day on some contracts.
* Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks.
* Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
* Providing a professional and courteous service to customers.
* Complying with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and road transport regulations.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* A valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence held for a minimum of 6 months to 1 year.
* At least 6 months' Class 2 driving experience.
* Experience securing loads using straps is highly desirable.
* A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
* A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
* No more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence.
* No DR, DD, CD, IN endorsements or any other convictions that have resulted in a driving ban or disqualification.
* A good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
* A reliable, professional and safety-conscious attitude.
* A good level of physical fitness, as some contracts involve manual handling.
