Class 2 Driver

Siamo Recruitment have partnered with an established building materials distributor who are looking for an experienced Class 2 Driver to join their team. They are seeking a trusted individual to help be a face for the business and deliver excellent customer service when delivering their products. This role adds variation into your day, if you don’t mind supporting the team within the warehouse in addition to driving and delivering, this role is for you!   The benefits to joining our client are: Competitive Salary Mon-Fri shift pattern - 07:00am – 16:00pm (flexible) Driver incentive bonus (Up to £3,000 per year) Temporary – Permanent Investment into training and development for various qualifications Free onsite parking  Your role as a Class 2 Driver involves the following duties: Operating class 2 vehicles safely, planning routes to avoid congestion, and monitoring traffic Acting as the face of the company, communicating with clients, and ensuring timely, accurate deliveries and high standards of customer service Assisting with the loading, unloading, and securing of goods Performing pre-journey checks (tyres, lights, fuel, brakes) and reporting defects in accordance with VOSA regulations Willing to support the team in other aspects of the business, e.g., in the warehouse or cover  The Ideal candidate for the Class 2 Driver position will include: A Valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence is essential 2+ years of Class 2 driving experience is desirable A Moffett certificate is advantageous Willingness to learn Be a confident communicator and willing to support the team in all areas to relieve business pressures Good understanding of UK road safety
