Clerk to the Trust (Term-Time Only) – Maternity Cover

Location: Ealing - West London
Hours: 28–38 hours per week (flexible)
Contract: Fixed Term (Maternity Cover) – Term Time Only

About the Role

Loyal Blue Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded Multi-Academy Trust to recruit a Clerk to the Trust.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised and detail-focused administrator to play a key role in supporting governance across multiple schools. You will work closely with senior stakeholders including the Board of Directors, Governors, and the Operations Manager to ensure smooth and compliant governance processes.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide full administrative support to Trust Boards, Governing Bodies, and committees

* Prepare agendas, collate papers, and ensure timely distribution ahead of meetings

* Attend meetings (including evenings) and take accurate, high-quality minutes

* Maintain governance records, including membership, attendance, and statutory registers

* Support the onboarding and induction of new Governors and Directors

* Ensure compliance with governance regulations and statutory requirements

* Manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion

* Assist with correspondence and communication on behalf of the Trust

This role will involve a mix of remote and on-site working, alongside attendance at scheduled meetings.

What We’re Looking For

We are keen to speak with candidates who bring:

* Strong administrative experience, ideally within education or governance

* Excellent minute-taking skills and attention to detail

* Confident communication skills, both written and verbal

* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

* High levels of discretion and professionalism

* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Desirable:

* Experience supporting school or academy governance

* Understanding of education sector regulations

* Relevant clerking, legal, or company secretarial background

Personal Qualities

* Highly organised and proactive

* Able to work independently and as part of a team

* Flexible and willing to attend evening meetings

* Reliable with excellent time management

* Committed to maintaining confidentiality at all times
