CNC Machinist Machine Shop | Manufacturing | Permanent MY client seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a busy and well-established manufacturing machine shop. This role is responsible for machining high-quality components to drawing specifications while maintaining productivity, safety and quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist who thrives in a performance-driven environment and is confident operating multiple machines. Key Responsibilities: * Machine components from engineering drawings, programs and specifications * Program (where applicable), prove out and operate CNC or conventional machines * Maintain optimum machine performance in line with manufacturing processes * Carry out quality inspections and complete associated documentation * Support multi-machine operation (MMO) and un-manned machining where required * Meet production targets, delivery schedules and urgent requirements * Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report breakdowns promptly * Ensure a clean, safe and organised working environment * Comply with Health & Safety regulations including COSHH * Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives What We’re Looking For: * Completed machining apprenticeship or time-served experience * Experience using Fanuc controls and 5-axis machinery * Minimum 5 years’ experience operating CNC and/or conventional machine tools * Formal engineering qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent) * Strong understanding of engineering drawings and quality standards * Experience with Windows-based computer systems * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong problem-solving skills * Flexible, reliable and self-motivated
