We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a well-known Engineering business in the Huddersfield area on a permanent basis, offering a competitive salary of upto 40K, early finish on a Friday, with excellent modern working conditions and ongoing training and development.

They have been serving industry for over 100 years from its Huddersfield base, as an independent specialist in sub-contract CNC and manual machining, having a blend of skills, experience, and the latest machinery, from CNC turning and milling.

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for:

Setting and operating a number of multi axis machining centres
Programming from scratch and editing (ProtoTrak/Siemens/Haas controls)
Proficient in manual turning and milling
Reading, interpreting, and working directly from engineering drawings
Ensuring high levels of craftsmanship and working in-line with tight tolerances & surface finishes
The CNC Machinist will have:

Ideally hold formal qualifications within Mechanical Engineering (Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, City & Guilds, NVQ or similar) - time served candidates will also be considered
Worked as a CNC Miller, Machinist Engineer, or Technician previously within a precision engineering or machine shop environment
The ability of independently programming using ISO or conversational controls
Preferable to have experience working in a heavy engineering or manufacturing environment
Working hours:

Regular day shift working 40 hours per week
7.00am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday & 1.15pm finish on Friday
What is offer to the CNC Machinist:

Salary £40,000.00 dependant on experience
Overtime available at uplifted rates
