CNC Machinist
Duration - 2 Months (may extend)

Working Model - Onsite Newcastle under Lyme (Staffordshire)
Hours/Times - 39 hours per week across 4 days. The ideal shift pattern is 6:00pm–4:30am, though this is flexible and open to discussion.
Hourly Rate - Circa £20p/hour
CNC Machinist Overview
We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to cover a short-term night shift contract.
You will be responsible for setting and operating Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes (mainly Doosan Puma machines) to produce precision components to specification and maintain consistent quality output.
The role includes machine setup, tool changes, adjusting offsets, reading engineering drawings, and carrying out basic quality checks on finished parts. This is a hands-on, skilled machining role requiring previous CNC lathe experience and the ability to work independently on nights.
The CNC Machinist role will involve:
Setting and operating Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes (mainly Doosan Puma machines)
Producing precision-engineered components to specification
Carrying out machine setup, tool changes, and offset adjustments
Reading and working from engineering drawings
Inspecting finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy
Maintaining safe and efficient machine operation during night shiftsThe CNC Machinist will need to have the following attributes:
Previous experience setting and operating CNC lathes
Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Ability to work independently on night shifts
Reliable and able to work to tight deadlines
